Results

The Shippensburg University women's track & field squad opened its outdoor season Saturday at West Chester University's Golden Ram Invitational with 12 PSAC qualifiers.

Senior Brittany Harlacker won the javelin with a throw of 124 feet, leading a group of four Raiders who placed among the top 6. Freshman Heather Bolick placed second with a throw of 121 feet, 11 inches. Also in throws, freshman Brianna Davis had a solid discus throw of 116 feet.

Sophomore Bri Fells ran the 400 meters in 59.27 seconds, while freshman Megan Lundy placed third in the 800 meters (2:22.09). Sophomore Lauren Ellsworth took third in the 100 meters.

Shippensburg is back in action next weekend at the Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond – one of the important early-season meets for the Raiders.
