Wrestling Nearly Rallies From Large Deficit But Falls Short at East Stroudsburg, 22-18

Jones and Reilley record decisions for Shippensburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University wrestling squad nearly rallied from an 18-point deficit on Thursday night from Koehler Fieldhouse before dropping a 22-18 decision to East Stroudsburg.

Sophomore Devan Jones and junior James Reilley each won decisions at 149 and 157 pounds respectively while Wes Heavener made his Raider debut and earned a victory by medical forfeit at 133 pounds.

SU wrestled tough, but dropped four matches to wrestlers that are ranked sixth or higher in the regional rankings for their respective weight classes.

On Saturday, Shippensburg will travel to York for a 12 p.m. dual meet with the Spartans.
