Biography

2011-12 (Senior): Redshirt season...did not wrestle collegiately.

2010-11 (Junior): Joined the Raiders in middle of the season…competed 10 times at 133 pounds…posted a 5-5 record, including a 5-3 mark in duals…earned victories in his first three bouts of the year…achieved bonus points in three duals, including technical falls against opponents from Thaddeus Stevens and Delaware Valley and a pin versus a wrestler from Anderson (S.C.).

2009-10 (Sophomore): Attended Campbell University.

2008-09 (Freshman): Wrestled for the Mules of Campbell University...posted a 2-9 record as a freshman at the 125-pound class.

Millbrook High School: Set multiple school records on his way to becoming a state champion in Virginia under the direction of coach Chris Haines...holds school record for most wins (174), most pins (106) and the fastest pin (seven seconds)...went 48-2 as a senior en route to titles of district champion, regional champion and state champion at 119 pounds...won many team awards in high school including most improved, sportsmanship, most valuable wrestler and coaches award...was a two-time district champion, three-time regional champion and a two-time All-American...graduated as a member of the A-B honor roll all four years...competed with club team Madmen.

Personal: Full name is Wesley William Heavener...is the son of William and Spring Heavener...majoring in criminal justice...has an older sibling, Tori.
