Biography

2012-13 (Senior): Redshirt season.

2011-12 (Junior): Placed fifth at 141 pounds at the NCAA Super Region I Championships to cap off his third year with the Raiders…finished the season with a 16-15 record that includes an 11-11 mark in dual meet competition…recorded an impressive five pins…achieved his victories by fall over wrestlers from Waynesburg, SIU-Edwardsville, Thaddeus Stevens, Delaware Valley and Anderson (S.C.)…also tallied major decisions over wrestlers from York and Gardner-Webb…represented the Raiders at the PSAC Championships…won five of his final eight bouts during the regular season.

2010-11 (Sophomore): Finished as a national qualifier in his second season with the Raiders…posted a season record of 22-18…competed at three different weight classes…wrestled in more bouts than any other SU grappler…placed fourth at the NCAA Division II Super Region I Championships (141 pounds) and fifth at the PSAC Championships (133 pounds)…took to the mat 27 times at 141 pounds, compiling an 8-6 record in tournament competition at that weight class…achieved bonus points in 11 matches…recorded five pins, four technical falls and two major decisions…earned a fourth-place finish at 141 pounds from the “Shorty” Hitchcock Memorial Classic…went 3-2 at the Clarion “Knightpoint” Open…notched bonus points in all three of his wins at the conference championships.

2009-10 (Freshman): Made an immediate impact as a freshman…impressed with 12 victories out of 22 total bouts…posted a 6-4 record in dual meet competition…tied for the team lead with an astonishing eight pins…recorded three technical falls…wrestled at the Super Region I Championships, winning twice by fall…totaled four pins against regional opponents.

Central Dauphin High School: Thrived for the Rams under head coach Jeff Sweigard…three-time state placewinner (4th as a sophomore, 3rd as a junior, 5th as a senior)…achieved district championships in his final three seasons, advancing up from 103 pounds to 112 and 119…finished with 136 victories in his career…teams won multiple state championships.
