SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team continued a busy stretch on Thursday with a convincing 7-0 victory over Lock Haven in a non-conference match at Robb Sports Complex that was re-scheduled from March 27.

Shippensburg (6-10) had all eight of its currently healthy players contribute to the team victory over Lock Haven (2-7).

In doubles,
Jade Miller and
Brinley Orris formed the No. 1 pairing on Thursday and achieved a 6-2 victory.
Yasmin De Meyer and
Ava Kalist won 6-0 at No. 2 doubles, while
Janelle Kingsboro and
Taylor Maguire posted a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

It was the first time that Miller and Orris had been paired together in doubles. Kingsboro and Maguire are now 2-0 as the No. 3 doubles pairing; Thursday's win accompanies a previous victory for the duo at Penn State Altoona.

De Meyer and Kalist, meanwhile, are now the most frequently used doubles tandem this season, as it was their fourth victory in nine matches working together (three at No. 2 doubles, once at No. 3 doubles).

Corinne Markovich picked up her fourth win of the season at No. 1 singles, outlasting her opponent Megan Ferris by scores of 6-4, 6-3. Markovich fell behind early in the second set but rallied by breaking serve on multiple occasions, including in the decisive final game.

De Meyer won 6-2, 6-4 over Alaina Marchioni at No. 3 singles. It was De Meyer's first win in four matches at No. 3 singles this season and her fifth overall singles victory of the year.

Miller (No. 2 singles), Orris (No. 4 singles),
Rachel Gallagher (No. 5 singles) and Kalist (No. 6 singles) all won 6-0, 6-0 in their respective matches.

Gallagher, Miller and Orris all picked up their sixth singles victories of the season. Kalist recorded her fifth overall and improved to 4-3 on the season at No. 6 singles.

Shippensburg continues its homestand at noon Saturday when it hosts Goldey-Beacom for another non-conference match at Robb Sports Complex.
