SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team rebounded on Tuesday afternoon with a 7-0 victory against Shepherd on an extremely windy day at Robb Sports Complex. Ten different Raiders contributed to the successful day.

Shippensburg (7-10, 1-2 PSAC East) rallied by securing all three double flights to take a 1-0 lead in the match over Shepherd (3-9, 0-4 PSAC East). The Raiders notched a clean sweep over the singles matches as well.

Jade Miller teamed up for a 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles. Sophomore
Ava Kalist and senior
Kendall Winters claimed a quick 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles to improve their doubles record on the season to 6-6.

Lauren Seip and sophomore
Janelle Kingsboro won 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.

Corinne Markovich had quite the battle against Shepherd's Allison Cronk in No. 1 singles. After losing the first set 6-2, she ended up securing the win by taking the second set, 7-5, and the tiebreaker, 10-3.

Yasmin De Meyer earned a win at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 decision. Markovich and De Meyer have each posted two singles wins over the last three days.

Miller had an impressive day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles. Sophomore
Rachel Gallagher won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, while Rupert won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.

At No. 6 singles, sophomore
Brinley Orris battled Lily Gross and won a 6-2, 6-1 decision. Orris, Gallagher, Rupert and Miller each earned their seventh singles victory of the season.

Shippensburg returns to action at 2:30 p.m. Monday when it hosts Bowie State at Robb Sports Complex. Earlier today, the match was pushed back from this Thursday to next Monday. Â Â
