The Shippensburg University lacrosse team fell short Saturday despite a spirited first half performance against No. 12-ranked Kutztown in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at Keystone Field, 14-7.

Shippensburg (5-4, 0-4 PSAC East) tied Kutztown (6-3, 3-1) twice in the early going, and trailed by just two, 6-4, at halftime.

Olivia Glinski with 6:49 remaining in the opening quarter to knot the score at 2-2.

The Golden Bears took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Raiders 3-0 in the frame and netting six straight goals overall during the second half.
