The Shippensburg University women's tennis team competed for the second time in as many days Saturday as it battled host Virginia Wesleyan but dropped a 7-0 decision to the Marlins.

Shippensburg (4-5) won at least two games in all six singles matches. Sophomore
Brinley Orris earned the start at No. 6 singles and won seven games, falling 7-5, 6-2 to Sarah Reich.

Corinne Markovich won five games at No. 1 singles, dropping a 6-3, 6-2 decision to Tura Flink. Sophomore
Rachel Gallagher won five games at No. 3 singles, while sophomore
Ava Kalist won four games at No. 5 singles.
