SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Freshman
Brinley Orris claimed a straight-set victory at No. 5 singles on Sunday but it wasn't enough, as the Shippensburg University women's tennis team was defeated by visiting Salem, 5-2, on a sunny and windy afternoon at Robb Sports Complex.
Â
Shippensburg (3-13) got Orris's victory at No. 5 singles and a default victory at No. 6 singles for senior
Brighid Cantwell, but Salem (5-8)'s international lineup otherwise got the best of the Raiders in singles and doubles. Orris claimed a 6-2, 6-0 win over Miriam Buendia.

Freshman
Rachel Gallagher won three games at No. 4 singles, and sophomore
