The Shippensburg University women's tennis team came up short at Gettysburg on Sunday, dropping a 9-0 decision to the Bullets.

Shippensburg (2-10), currently limited to five players due to multiple injuries, fought hard in several singles matches despite having to play up in multiple flights.

Janelle Kingsboro nearly came away with her first collegiate victory, as she engaged in a three-set marathon against Tierney Cantwell – senior
Brighid Cantwell's sister. After dropping the first set 6-4, Kingsboro won the second set, 7-5. The close tiebreaker went to Cantwell, 10-8.

Kendall Winters went to a first-set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles, falling 7-6 (7-4), 6-2. Junior
Brooklynn Rupert and
Brighid Cantwell each won five games in their respective matches at No. 1 and No. 3 singles. Freshman
