SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team rallied Friday night to post a 3-1 victory over Bloomsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup from Heiges Field House. Set scores were 19-25, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-8.

Shippensburg (15-11, 9-2 PSAC) received an excellent performance from reigning East Athlete of the Week junior
Kearstin Davis, who totaled 38 assists, a team-high 17 digs and three kills while serving five of the team's 14 aces. It is the fourth time this season that the Raiders have recorded 14 or more aces in a match.

Senior
Emily Gardner delivered her 17th double-double of the season with 14 kills and 12 digs while hitting .175 from the floor. Junior
Isabelle Bombas had eight kills and three blocks and hit .500, while senior
Maddie Clabaugh and sophomore
Natalya Montague each had seven kills.

Clabaugh delivered three aces and had a hand in two blocks, while Montague had three block assists. Junior
Berkley Simmons and sophomore
Shay Kolivoski each served two aces and finished with double-digit digs – Simmons with 12 and Kolivoski with 10.

Bloomsburg (8-16, 5-6) had a strong start to the match, hitting .319 over the course of the first two sets, but committed 15 errors in the final two sets. Marlee Johnson and Katie Kuehl combined for 22 kills and each hit above .200 from the floor, while setter Elise Adelman had 32 assists and a pair of kills. The Huskies also served eight aces.

Two service runs were pivotal to Shippensburg's success. In the third set, with the score 18-17 in SU's favor, a Husky service error put Simmons on the service line. The Raiders scored six straight points on Simmons' serve, including both of her aces, and punctuated the runs with a kill from Montague.

In the fourth set, the score was 12-7 in favor of the Raiders. SU proceeded to score 13 of the final 14 points of the match – including a nine-point run on Davis's serve to end the match. That run featured two aces by Davis, three Raider blocks, and a pair of Raider kills.

Shippensburg will celebrate Senior Day at 1 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Lock Haven at Heiges Field House.
