The Shippensburg University women's tennis team was defeated at Bryn Mawr Wednesday, dropping a 6-1 decision to the Owls on a cloudy and damp afternoon in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Shippensburg (3-2) got its win at No. 6 singles, where senior
Kendall Winters achieved a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Lilly Pfister. Winters and sophomore
Ava Kalist teamed up to win three games at No. 3 doubles.

Bryn Mawr (3-0) claimed each of the three doubles flights to claim the doubles point, but not without a fight from the Raiders. Freshman
Jade Miller and junior
Corinne Markovich won five games at No. 2 doubles, while senior
Brooklynn Rupert and sophomore
Rachel Gallagher won a game at No. 1 doubles.

Miller went to three sets at No. 3 singles but ultimately fell 2-6, 6-1, 3-6 to Kelli Eng. Gallagher won seven games at No. 4 singles; sophomore
Brinley Orris won five games at No. 5 singles, and Rupert won four games in the second set of her match at No. 2 singles.

SU travels to Bloomsburg this weekend for competition in Bloomsburg's individual tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
