SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 3–1 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest on Wednesday afternoon at David See Field.

Shippensburg (2–1–0, 0–1–0 PSAC East) trailed 1–0 at the half, but two quick second-half goals by the Marauders put the game out of reach.

The first Millersville (3–0–1, 1–0–0) goal came in just the 18th minute to go ahead 1–0. Connor Fiadino raced onto a ball and took a touch around freshman Ryan Krumenacker to finish into an empty net.

The second half opened with a penalty kick in the 53rd minute from the Marauders as Jack Altimore put his effort into the bottom left corner, sending the keeper in the wrong direction.

Just two minutes later, Bob Hennessey made it a 3–0 advantage by finishing a low cross across the box.

A Marauders' own goal would get the Raiders on the scoresheet in the 77th minute to cut the lead to 3–1.

Today's match completed a three-game home stretch to open the season. SU will travel for its next three matches. The Raiders head to Slippery Rock on Saturday for a 3 p.m. match.
