The Shippensburg University women's swimming team returned to competition Friday with a long trip west to face Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Edinboro. The host Fighting Scots claimed a 107-90 victory in a dual meet at McComb Fieldhouse.  
 
Sophomore Allie Keeling posted the fastest times in two distance freestyle events, winning the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:53.64 and delivering the fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle after touching the wall in 5:29.84.
 
Keeling swam the second leg of the meet-concluding 200-yard freestyle relay; she was accompanied by sophomore Kristin Gebhard, senior Marina Cote and sophomore Gracie Wetzel in a quartet that placed second in 1:47.88.
 
Sophomore Lauren Croll took silver in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 25.85 seconds. Junior Alyssa Tomb had the second-fastest time in the 200-yard breaststroke, swimming 2:32.55.
 
Shippensburg's next competition is in two weeks at Bucknell.
