The Shippensburg University men's swimming team had individuals post the fastest time in nine of Friday's 11 events as the Raiders completed a road trip to Edinboro with a 117-73 victory over the Fighting Scots in a dual meet at McComb Fieldhouse.
 
The meet began with a thrilling battle at the wall, with senior Elijah Zinn out-touching Frank Barger to give the Raiders a victory in the 200-yard medley relay by .09 seconds. The quartet of senior Michael Hannig, graduate Andrew Hale, graduate Vin Salvatore and Zinn delivered a time of 1:37.53.
 
Junior Michael Salvatori and sophomore David Johnson were double-event winners. Salvatori impressed in the 200-yard backstroke, coming within .05 seconds of his season-best time after clocking in at 1:55.21, and edged Hale by .35 seconds in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:58.23.
 
Johnson swam his fastest time of the season in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a win in 10:15.29. Later, he came back and crushed the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:57.79.
 
Redshirt-junior JC Greenwood won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:48.74, with sophomore Nathan VanNatter taking second in 1:50.91. VanNatter later won the 100-yard freestyle, completing his swim in 49.54 seconds.
 
Hale paced three Raiders in the 200-yard breaststroke, swimming 2:10.15, and Salvatore was the top finisher in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:01.12.
 
Shippensburg returns to competition in two weeks at Edinboro.
