2020-21 (Sophomore): Emerged as a scoring performer for the Raiders in his second season as a freestyle swimmer…placed 12th in the 50-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…represented the Raiders in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle at the conference championships…contributed to All-PSAC third-place finishes with the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay at the conference championships…posted the team’s fastest time of the season in the 50-yard freestyle…ranked fourth among the Raiders in the 100-yard freestyle.
2019-20 (Freshman): Debuted for the Raiders as a freestyle swimmer…represented the Raiders in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…posted the team’s third-fastest time of the season in the 50-yard freestyle with a season best at the PSAC Championships…recorded all three of his season bests in the sprint freestyle events at the PSAC Championships.
Shippensburg Area Senior High School: Totaled four varsity letters for the Greyhounds, competing as a senior for head coach Chandler Johnson ’17…competed at the club level with Chambersburg YMCA for coach Matt Ellis…qualified for the PIAA ‘AA’ State Championships…finished as four-time Mid-Penn Conference and District 3 Championships qualifier…also qualified for YMCA Nationals…medaled at the District 3 Championships…broke six school records…was a member of the National Honor Society and Math Honor Society…certified in CPR and first aid…also earned three varsity letters in soccer…graduated as a high-honor roll student with a 4.1 GPA.
About Zinn: Full name is Elijah Xavier Zinn…is the son of Travis and Stacey Zinn…majoring in biology, concentrating in ecology and environmental biology…has two sisters, Dani and Dylan…sister Dani is a 2019 SU graduate.
