2020-21 (Sophomore): Delivered scoring performances in all three of his individual events to conclude his second season as a Raider…placed 13th in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 14th in both the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke at the PSAC Championships…ranked third among Raiders for the season in both backstroke events…slotted among the team’s Top 5 swimmers in four events.
2019-20 (Freshman): Contributed to a fifth-place relay finish at the PSAC Championships in his debut season…swam the opening leg of the team’s 400-yard medley relay at the PSAC Championships…represented the Raiders in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, 1,000-yard freestyle and 1,650-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…posted the team’s second-fastest time of the season in the 100-yard backstroke and the third-fastest time of the season in the 200-yard backstroke…ranked among the team’s Top 5 swimmers in the 500-yard freestyle, 1,000-yard freestyle and 1,650-yard freestyle…posted his season best in the 100-yard backstroke at the PSAC Championships and in the 200-yard backstroke at the Patriot Invitational.
Marple Newtown High School: Totaled multiple varsity letters for the Tigers under head coach Jaime Cessna…competed at the club level with Radnor Aquatic Club for coach Jeremy Byrne…set a school record in the 100-yard backstroke as a senior with a PR of 53.30…received a Swimmers Scholarship award as a senior…participated at the Delco Elite Meet in 2018…named his team’s MVP as a sophomore and junior…cited as the Rookie of the Year in his debut season.
About Hannig: Full name is Michael Joseph Hannig…is the son of Rich and Jennie Hannig…majoring in early childhood education…has two brothers: Richard and William.
