Leah Graybill once again re-wrote the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record books for the 200 meters on Friday as the Shippensburg University women's indoor track & field team competed in the Bucknell Tune Up held inside Gerhard Fieldhouse.
 
Graybill won the 200 meters with a time of 24.73 seconds, enhancing her own personal best. The conversion from the flat track to the NCAA Championships track results in a time of 24.36 seconds, which marks her second improvement to her own school and conference record. Graybill now ranks ninth on the NCAA Division II performance list for the event. She also ran 7.78 seconds in the 60-meter dash – just a tenth of a second off her school record in that event.
 
Kyra Gerber and Isabelle Gulgert doubled up in both the 1,000 meters and the mile on Friday night. They ran 2-3 in the 1,000 and placed 4-7 in the mile. Gerber ran 5:15.73 and Gulgert ran 5:19.27 – both season bests that move them up the conference leaderboard.
 
Lieke Black did something quite difficult on Friday night – she posted the exact time in both the prelims and the finals of the 60-meter hurdles. Black's time of 9.50 seconds is not an automatic qualifier for the PSAC Championships but does situate her 12th on the league leaderboard.
 
In the field, Kate Matrisciano placed fourth in the shot with a top put that traveled 41 feet, 7 ¾ inches (12.69 meters).
 
The Raiders will now prepare for the 2022 PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for next Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 26-27) at Edinboro University.
