The Shippensburg University women's tennis team faced Immaculata on Monday morning in Florida, winning a pair of singles matches but dropping the overall match to the Mighty Macs, 5-2.

Jenna Sluymer and freshman
Sahar Islam earned singles victories. Sluymer, competing at No. 2 singles on Monday after a No. 1 assignment on Sunday, posted a 7-5, 6-4 win over Morgan Jacob.

Islam won at No. 5 singles; she dropped the first set 6-2 but rallied to win the second, 6-3, and claim an exciting 10-8 tiebreaker for the victory.

Freshman
Paige Simons went to a tiebreaker at No. 4 singles. Simons, who competed at No. 3 singles Sunday, lost the first set to Elizabeth Lipscomb 6-1 but rallied to take the second set, 6-2. Lipscomb claimed the tiebreaker by the narrowest of margins at 10-8.

Kayla Tryanski was elevated to No. 3 singles after her win at No. 4 singles on Sunday; she won three games in her Monday match. Freshman
Maddy Reeves was bumped up to No. 1 singles and senior
Kendall Geis competed at No. 6 singles.
