The Shippensburg University volleyball team continued its Mountain East Conference (MEC) crossover slate on Saturday with a pair of matches in Charleston, first dropping a four-set match to Urbana before rallying to sweep the host Golden Eagles.

Shippensburg (6-1) swung an impressive .360 in the nightcap against Charleston, with the Raiders totaling just eight errors on 100 attempts. Senior
Gabriella Johnson paced the Raiders with 10 kills, while junior
Gianna Sigado had a team-high 16 digs. Junior
Emily Hangen totaled 32 assists.

Against Urbana, senior
Samantha Webber posted team highs of 13 kills and seven blocks. Senior
Kendall Johnson slammed 11 kills, and Hangen handed out 38 assists.

Shippensburg heads back to West Virginia next weekend for its second weekend of MEC crossover play, beginning Friday in West Liberty.
