SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team extended its win streak to seven matches on Saturday afternoon by defeating Kutztown, 3-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup from Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg (13-5, 6-0 PSAC) dropped just one set to Kutztown (5-13, 0-6), marking the first set the Raiders lost since the second set against Gannon on September 22. SU took the first set 25-18, dropped the second set 22-25, and took the final two sets 25-15 and 25-20 respectively.
Through three weeks of conference play, Shippensburg is the only remaining team with an unbeaten record in PSACÂ matches.Â

Sophomore
Samantha Webber paced the Raiders offensively, tallying a match-high 14 kills while hitting at a .194 clip. Two other Raiders recorded double-digit kills in the win including junior
Morgan DeFloria and sophomore
Gabriella Johnson. DeFloria registered 12 kills while Johnson added 10 and also had four block assists.

Freshman
Emily Hangen registered a match-high 42 assists. Hangen also tallied four kills on just eight attempts. Sophomore
Kendall Johnson finished with a .320 hitting percentage while recording nine kills.

SU had three players with 19 or more digs including DeFloria, junior
Courtney Malott and sophomore
Megan Forstburg. Forstburg led SU with 20 digs.

Shippensburg returns to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. when it goes on the road to take on Millersville in PSAC play.Â
