SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team continued its winning ways on Friday night with a straight-set victory over visiting East Stroudsburg by set scores of 25-14, 25-19 and 25-20 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup from Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg (12-5, 5-0 PSAC) did not trail in the first two sets of Friday's match en route to its fourth consecutive league sweep. The Raiders posted a .246 hitting percentage and served seven aces – three by freshman
Emily Hangen – while yielding just 23 kills to the Warriors. Hangen's 8-0 service run in the first set gave SU an early 14-4 lead that helped set the tone for the match.

Morgan DeFloria led all players with 12 kills, swinging an efficient .278, while finishing just one dig short of a double-double. Sophomore
Samantha Webber slammed nine kills to just one error, hitting .500, while sophomore
Kendall Johnson recorded eight kills to just two errors, swinging .400.

Megan Forstburg led the Raiders with 16 digs, while Hangen had 14 digs and 31 assists from her setter position. Junior
Courtney Malott had six kills, six digs and two aces, while sophomore
Gabriella Johnson had five kills and nine digs.

East Stroudsburg (10-6, 1-4) got nine kills from Desiree Claxton and four aces from Rosa Veliky. The Warriors grabbed a 6-4 lead in the third set, but the Raiders responded with a 7-0 run and would not trail by less than three points for the remainder of the match.
