The Shippensburg University men's soccer team used second-half goals from senior
Tyler Whitehead and sophomore
Marc Furfaro to defeat Lock Haven on the road, 2-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup.
Shippensburg (5-2, 2-2 PSAC) was out-shot by Lock Haven (4-2-1, 2-1), 12-7, but made the most of its chances. Furfaro assisted on Whitehead's goal in the 58th minute that gave the Raiders momentum just after halftime.
Late in the match, after a red card was issued to Bald Eagle keeper Troy Teresak, Furfaro buried the ensuing free kick to ice the game for Shippensburg.
Redshirt-freshman
Garret Watson recorded five saves to register his third shutout on the year.
Shippensburg will return to action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against West Chester at David See Field.
