SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University tennis team played its second Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match in as many days on Wednesday, but the Raiders could not stave off visiting Bloomsburg in an 8-1 loss to the Huskies from the Robb Sports Complex Tennis Courts.
Junior
Emilie Luttman was a victor for the Raiders, winning her first set 6-3 and claiming her No. 3 singles triumph with a 10-8 win in a super tiebreaker. Her opponent, Cat Garrity, won the second set, 6-0.
Senior
Brittnee Buckley played well, winning one game in each set of her match at No. 1 singles. Buckley also teamed with Luttman at No. 1 doubles and won one game. SU won at least one game in all three of its doubles matches, with senior

Gabbie Binder taking two games at No. 2 doubles.
Other individual singles performers included freshman
McKensi Washabaugh claiming two games at No. 4 singles and freshman

Shippensburg is scheduled to continue its busy week on Friday, weather permitting, with a match at Shepherd. The Raiders are scheduled to host Cheyney at 2 p.m. Saturday.
