The Shippensburg University women's indoor track & field team recorded a host of noteworthy performances on Friday as it traveled to Boston for competition in the Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University from its Track & Tennis Center.
 
The SU sprints squad had several noteworthy performances. Sophomore Danielle Sciremammano achieved a lifetime PR in the 60-meter hurdles, improving to 8.89 seconds. Fellow sophomore Lindsay Sheehan, meanwhile, set her new 200-meter PR at 25.72 seconds.
 
Senior Megan Lundy paced four Raiders that ran Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifiers in the 400 meters. Lundy ran a season best of 57.44 seconds, while sophomore Kiana Tucker achieved an indoor personal best of 59.14 seconds. Sophomore Jill Bertino, meanwhile, improved to 1:00.64.
 
Sheehan, Tucker, freshman Allison King and Lundy improved the 4x4 relay season-best time to 3:56.39.
 
Junior Abby Shafer ran an NCAA-provisional qualifying time of 9:56.69 that has her mere hundredths of a second off the PSAC pace-setting effort of Slippery Rock's Jenny Picot. The time ranks among the Top 30 nationally.
 
Also among the distance contingent, sophomore Bryanna Dissinger achieved a solid PSAC 5K qualifier late Friday night, running 18:19.20.
 
Among the jumpers, junior Sarah Hunt had a NCAA-provisional long jump of 18 feet, 6 ½ inches and a triple jump of 37 feet, 10 inches. Freshman Abby Wagner achieved a new collegiate best in the triple jump, her top mark was recorded at 37 feet, 3 ¼ inches.
 
Shippensburg will conclude the regular season next weekend at Kutztown in the Five-Way Challenge from O'Pake Fieldhouse.
