SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Red Raider Football All-Americans Brent Grimes (2002-05) and John Kuhn (2001-04) competed Sunday night in the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl Game from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The game was broadcast by ESPN.

It is the second consecutive year that Shippensburg University had multiple Pro Bowl selections. Shippensburg University has now had at least one NFL Pro Bowl player in six out of the last seven seasons.

Grimes, a defensive back for the Miami Dolphins, and Kuhn, a fullback for the Green Bay Packers, each competed in their fourth Pro Bowl. Both Grimes and Kuhn were members of Team Rice, captained by former San Francisco 49er Jerry Rice.

In Sunday's game, Kuhn had three receptions for 17 yards, while Grimes was credited with one tackle.

Grimes was a six-time All-PSAC Western Division selection with the Red Raiders, including three as a defensive back and three as a return specialist. He was also a three-time All-American. Grimes ended his career with 27 interceptions, the most in PSAC history, and also boasts numerous school records for his work on special teams, including career punt return yardage (1,133).

Kuhn totaled 4,685 rushing yards, 910 carries, 53 touchdowns, 5,300 all-purpose yards and 26 games with at least 100 yards rushing as a Red Raider. All of those accomplishments set school records. Kuhn was the 2003 PSAC Western Division Offensive Player of the Year, a three-time All-PSAC Western Division First Team selection and a three-time NFCA All-American.
