No. 2 Field Hockey Nets Seven Selections to the 2016 All-PSAC Teams

SU totals its most All-PSAC selections since the 2013 season

The Shippensburg University field hockey team had seven of its players named Wednesday afternoon to the 2016 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) squads: two on the First Team, three on the Second Team, and two on the Third Team.

Senior defender Taylor Fisher and redshirt-sophomore goalkeeper Ally Mooney are First Team picks.

Senior defender Suzanne Muller, junior forward Emily Barnard, and junior Brooke Sheibley are Second Team Picks.

Senior forward Katelyn Grazan and junior midfielder Kylie Huffman are Third Team picks.

The seven All-PSAC selections are the most for the Raiders since having eight in the 2013 season.

Mooney, the NCAA Division II leader in goals-against average (0.27) and save percentage (.926), earns her second All-PSAC award (2014 Second Team). She has set the SU single-season record for shutouts (12) and has allowed just five goals in 18 games. Additionally, Mooney yielded just one goal through the first 11 games and has given up two goals in a game just once all season long.

Fisher earns her second All-PSAC award (2015 Second Team) and has once again served as SU's primary back-line defender while also doubling on penalty corners. She has totaled two assists and recorded a team-high six defensive saves this season, a total that ranks eighth in the country.

Muller receives her second All-PSAC award (2014 Third Team) as a fellow member of the defensive corps. She has also recorded two assists on the year while registering two defensive saves. Muller, along with Fisher and Mooney, are integral members of NCAA Division II's top defense – a unit that has yielded just six goals and totaled 13 shutouts.

Barnard also achieved her second All-PSAC honor (2015 Second Team) by once again working as one of the team's leading forwards. She ranks second on the team with six goals and 14 points. Her scoring total ranks sixth in the PSAC for goals per game, as her tallies include two game-winning goals.

Sheibley gets her first All-PSAC recognition for outstanding work as a passer and defensive midfield presence for the Raiders. She has tallied one goal and three assists for a total of five points but also excels with SU's possession and passing.

Grazan repeats as an All-PSAC forward (2015 Third Team) by leading the team with nine goals (including a PSAC-best five game-winners) and 19 points. Her performances rank sixth in the conference in goals and eighth in goals per game, while her scoring totals nationally rank among the Top 30 players in Division II.

Huffman, now a two-time All-PSAC honoree (2015 Second Team), is being recognized like Sheibley for her excellence in the midfield. A skilled passer and distributor, Huffman has also contributed three goals this season (all game-winners) and three assists for nine points.
