The Shippensburg University women's lacrosse team was held scoreless down the stretch Wednesday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game, as East Stroudsburg scored the final four goals in defeating the Raiders, 14-13, on a cold afternoon at ESU's Whitenight Field.

Shippensburg (3-9, 1-6 PSAC) took a 13-10 lead with 22:30 to play, but East Stroudsburg (6-4, 2-4) held the Raiders scoreless for the remainder of the game. ESU scored the go-ahead goal with 3:02 to play and maintained the majority of the ensuing possession through the final whistle.

Sheila Johnson continued to excel on the offensive end, scoring four goals (including SU's final tally) and adding an assist. Fellow senior
Courtney Kennedy scored three times and added an assist.

Annemarie Cericola had four of SU's seven caused turnovers and also led the team with four groundballs. Fellow sophomore
Ali Harclerode had a goal and three groundballs.

Sarah McLeod scored a goal, had two assists, recorded three groundballs and led the Raiders on the day with five of the team's 11 draw controls.

Ally Frymoyer made 12 saves in the loss, marking her fifth double-digit save total of the season and her eighth straight game with eight or more saves.

Shippensburg returns to action at 4 p.m. Tuesday at it starts a four-game homestand by facing West Chester at Robb Sports Complex.
