The Shippensburg University baseball team cranked out 14 hits in its first of two games on Tuesday but dropped a road game at Wingate, 12-5, to the host Bulldogs.

Austin Allison went 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, hitting a two-run shot in the ninth inning. Through 10 games, Allison is batting .405 and boasts a .452 on-base percentage.

Freshman
Dalton Hoiles was 3-for-5 with an RBI-single, while sophomore
Ryan McMillen hit from the leadoff spot and was 2-for-5 with a double.

Jake Kennedy had an RBI-double and a walk. Through the first 10 games, Kennedy has a team-best .432 batting average with eight extra-base hits, 12 RBIs, and a .533 on-base percentage.

On the mound, sophomore
Mark Curtis overcame a tough first inning to last four innings, walking two and striking out four. He retired seven of the last 10 men he faced and picked off a baserunner as well.
