SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team had a fine Saturday afternoon in sweeping Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foe Cheyney, 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-12) in a home match at Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg (14-6, 5-4 PSAC) hit .368 as a team, converting 42-of-87 total attacks into kills. Leading the way was freshman
Keara O'Brien-Pol, who had 10 kills – a career high.
Also setting new career highs in kills was freshman
Katie Lemheney with five, freshman
Jenna Hevner with four and freshman
Bridget Terrel with three.
Sophomore
Brittany Whitacre finished second on the team with eight kills in just 11 total attacks.
At the setter position, sophomore
Catherine Amoriello notched a new career-best with 35 assists of Shippensburg's 42 kills.

The Raiders are back in action Friday at Lock Haven, where SU will begin a four-match PSAC crossover weekend against California (Pa.) at 2 p.m.
