The Shippensburg University wrestling team has announced plans for a large Alumni Day gathering on Saturday, February 7 at Heiges Field House. SU hosts a tri-meet that day, competing against Mercyhurst (2 p.m.), West Liberty (4 p.m.) and American International (6 p.m.).

The first 250 people to arrive that day will receive a SHIP Wrestling All-American poster as detailed above. The poster features headshots of all SU known All-Americans at either the Division I or Division II level.

The gathering has been described as an informal event and families are encouraged to attend. Subs, other food items and beverages will be provided during lunch at approximately noon. The reception, in Heiges Field House classroom 230, will begin at 11:30 a.m., in order to allow adequate opportunity for interaction.

All wrestling alumni will gather in the lobby at 1:40 p.m. and will process into the arena as each is introduced in advance of the 2 p.m. match against Mercyhurst. The Lakers are a Top 10 team nationally (No. 2 in the region) and finished third at the 2014 PSAC Championships. West Liberty is currently seventh in the region, and American International is No. 11 (SU is 10th).
