The Shippensburg University volleyball team took the opening set on the road Saturday but ultimately dropped a four-set decision at West Chester. Set scores against the Golden Rams were 25-19, 23-25, 17-25, 18-25.

Shippensburg (7-8, 1-5 PSAC East) nearly took a two-set lead, as it earned a 22-20 advantage in the second set, but the Golden Rams rallied to win three straight points and ultimately the frame, 25-23.

Courtney Malott led the Raiders with a career-high 13 kills.

West Chester (9-6, 1-5) was led by Marina Sharkey, who notched 18 kills. The Golden Rams recorded a .292 attack percentage.
