A career-high five goals from junior
Sheila Johnson all in the second half on Wednesday afternoon were far from enough for the Shippensburg University lacrosse team as it dropped a 20-5 road decision at No. 12 Pfeiffer from the Matthews SportsPlex in Matthews, N.C., to close out its non-conference schedule and three-game spring-break road trip.
Johnson led all players in scoring and accounted for all of the Shippensburg (3-2) goals, giving her a team-high 13 through five games this season. Junior

SU responded to an 11-0 halftime deficit and remained at pace with Pfeiffer (6-2) throughout the majority of the second half as it trailed 17-5 with just over five minutes remaining.
The Raiders recorded a season-high 16 caused turnovers and won the turnover battle by a 23-17 margin. Shippensburg, however, converted just two of its six free-position shots while Pfeiffer shot 7-for-8.
