Twelve different Raiders scored on Friday including a four-goal performance from senior
Bennett Widlake as the Shippensburg University lacrosse team defeated Wheeling Jesuit 18-5 from James LaRossa Stadium to start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2004.
Shippensburg opened the contest with a 7-0 run and held a 13-1 halftime advantage. Wheeling Jesuit (2-3) was unable to get on the scoreboard until there was 9:15 remaining in the first half and did not net its second goal until 12:25 remaining in the game. The Raiders led by as many as 15 at the 13:27 mark in the second half.

Ashley Pope and sophomore
