SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team capitalized on two headers off accurate crosses to score both of its goals in a 2-0 victory Saturday over PSAC rival Bloomsburg, on a sunny and windy Senior Day afternoon from David See Field.
Shippensburg (4-7-3, 4-7-3 PSAC) scored its first goal in the 40th minute when freshman
Mallory Patterson scored her first collegiate goal by heading in a well-placed cross from the right side of the goal by freshman
Jenny Litz.
The second goal came in similar fashion, as junior
Haley Jones lofted an accurate cross from the right side of the field into the box for junior
Caitlin Sheehan to head past the goalkeeper at 68:23.
The Raiders held a 19-12 advantage in shots, while Bloomsburg (6-8-2, 5-8-2) led 6-5 in corner kicks.
Freshman

Before the game, SU honored its senior class that includes
