Taylor Gottshall achieved an impressive triple-double Saturday as the Shippensburg University volleyball team snapped a four-game skid with its fourth-straight victory over defending PSAC Tournament champion UPJ, 3-1, from the Sports Center. Set scores were 15-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-22.

The Raiders (11-13, 5-10 PSAC) had an impressive 18 blocks, its most in a match since September 2012, compared to just three for UPJ (11-10, 7-8), with Gottshall totaling 10 in the match. SU's junior middle blocker had 10 kills and 13 digs in addition to her two solo blocks and eight block assists.

She enters next week just one block shy of tying SU's all-time record for the category held by Dana Boyer (400, 1985-88). Â

Annie Goerl recorded 15 kills and 18 digs and hit a solid .233. Junior
Faith Athey hit .303 while recording 12 kills and six block assists as sophomore
Maura Nolan notched 36 assists and four total blocks.

Rebecca Pryor notched seven block assists and eight total blocks.

The Raiders were victorious in all three matchups with UPJ last season. The teams last met in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division II Championships when SU dispatched the Lady Cats, 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 25-19).
