The Shippensburg University men's swimming team won two events and posted eight second-place finishes on Saturday but dropped a PSAC dual meet to Edinboro, 132-122, to wrap up a two-day weekend of competition with the Fighting Scots.

Sophomore Stefan Szilagyi was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly with a PSAC cut of 54.11 seconds and swam the second leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay that placed second in 1:30.48. Freshman Chandler Johnson won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:08.01.

Sophomore Jake Dunnigan was a runner-up in three events: the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.77), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.24) and the 200-yard IM (2:06.13).

Junior Tyler Robertson was the runner-up in the 100- (56.29) and 200-yard backstroke (2:06.81), with his time in the 100 standing just about one second off his season best. Robertson also swam the opening leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Freshman Braxton Erne was SU's pace-setter in the 50- (23.33) and 100-yard freestyle (52.20), taking second place in the latter. Junior R.J. Phiambolis was the runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.78).

Shippensburg will hold its final home dual meet of the season January 25 when it hosts Davis & Elkins for Senior Day.
