The Shippensburg University volleyball team went to five sets in PSAC Eastern Division play for the first time this season, rallying Saturday after dropping the first set to defeat home-standing Kutztown by set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 19-25, 15-10.

Jill Edwards led all players with 19 kills and matched freshman libero
Maria Peluso with 18 digs. Edwards also had five block assists.
Shippensburg (13-6, 6-3 PSAC) served up double-digit aces for the second consecutive match, totaling 11 on Saturday. Peluso tallied five aces to match her career high and freshman
Gabbie Holt connected for a career-high four.
Three Raiders posted double-digit kills. Sophomore
Taylor Gottshall slammed a season-high 11 kills, swinging .318, and posted six block assists. SU blocked 10 shots in the match. Freshman
Abby Mummert was credited with a career-high 10 kills and hit .185.

Maura Nolan dished out 41 hits and added three kills, three block assists and six digs.
Kutztown (10-10, 4-5 PSAC) hit .273 in the opening set but did not post a hitting percentage above .118 in any other frame. Danielle Van Buren paced the Golden Bears with 11 kills.
Shippensburg will host Chowan at 7 p.m. Tuesday inside Heiges Field House.
