SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team held Cheyney to 29 total points on Friday night and won its 11th straight-set victory of the season and second in a row. Set scores were 25-12, 25-10 and 25-7.
Sophomore
Samantha Edwards led the Raiders (12-18, 7-10 PSAC) with 12 kills and a .474 hitting percentage versus the Wolves (0-24, 0-16).
Meanwhile, junior
Andrea Heimsoth led SU with 10 digs, nine assists and five service aces. Sophomore
Tessa Bivens had two solo blocks and a block assist while hitting .333 with four kills.
Shippensburg, the current fourth place team in the PSAC East, travels to West Haven, Conn. for two matches on Saturday. The Raiders will play Stonehill at 2:30 p.m. before battling host New Haven at 5 p.m.
