SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg women's swimming team received strong individual performances from sophomore Amy Fisher, junior Whitney Garner and senior Mandi Foltz on Friday night from the Donald N. Miller Pool to highlight a 108-97 victory over Kutztown that was the second straight PSAC dual meet victory for the Lady Raiders.

Fisher had a phenomenal night and won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.50 - an effort that stands as the third-fastest SU time in that event this season. She also just missed a first-place effort in the 500-yard freestyle, completing that event in 5:18.36 and just 0.33 seconds out of the lead, and took second place in the 1,000-yard freestyle.

Garner continued another excellent season by edging out Kutztown's Stephanie Jeppesen by 0.16 seconds to win the 100-yard freestyle in 55.26. Foltz won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.88 seconds while freshman Hayli L'Esperance had a new personal-best time of 1:00.64 to finish in second place.

Foltz finished with three total first-place finishes, as she was a member of both 200-yard relays that won events for Shippensburg. In the medley, Foltz teamed with freshman Kate Johnson, senior Theresa Simcic and freshman Rachael Ballard for a winning time of 1:52.17

In the freestyle relay, Garner, Foltz, Simcic and senior Stephanie Fitzgerald took first place with a time of 1:41.32 while the 'B' team of freshman Nicole Capozzi, sophomore Sarah Bratman, junior Michelle Edmiston and sophomore Anna Kinard finished just behind in 1:42.97 to earn second-place points.

Another key event to the Lady Raider was the 100-yard breaststroke. While Kutztown's Stephanie Jeppesen won the event in 1:07.65, Shippensburg had Ballard, sophomore Stephanie Mariani and sophomore Meghan Herr finished 2-3-4 to pick up key points for the Lady Raiders.

Shippensburg will travel on Saturday to Indiana (Pa.) University for a dual meet that is set to begin at 1 p.m.
