Biography
2007-08 (as a junior): Maintained her status as a top sprinter and butterfly swimmer in the conference by qualifying and placing in three PSAC Championship events, including a second-place turn in the 100-yard butterfly… also finished 15th in 50-yard freestyle and
sixth in 200-yard butterfly at the conference championships…held team-best times of 2:13.24 in the 200-yard butterfly…had a strong season in freestyle, finishing with the third-best time in the 50-yard freestyle…posted third-best time in the 100-yard freestyle…held sixth-best time in the 200-yard individual medley.
2006-07 (as a sophomore): Continued her maturity and development as one of the top sprinters and butterfly swimmers in the nation… set team best time in 200 fly, 50 free and 100 free and now ranks 3rd all time in the 50 and 4th all time in the 100 freestyles …finished third in the 100 butterfly at the PSAC Championships and also placed sixth in the 100 freestyle and ninth in the 50 freestyle… …member of the school record setting 200 and 400 medley relays….swam the 50 and 100 freestyles and the 100 butterfly at the NCAA National Championships while earning five Honorable Mention All-American Honors with the relay teams.
2005-06 (as a freshman): Quickly became team’s top sprinter in the free and butterfly…set a new school record in the 100 fly at the Patriot Invitational with an NCAA “A” cut time of 57.24 … helped 200 medley relay team to a new school record with an NCAA cut time of 1:48.06 at the Patriot Invitational … at the PSAC Championships, finished 3rd in the 100 fly and 6th in the 50 free…helped the Raider relay teams to numerous top 4 finishes...served as a member of five relay teams (200 medley, 200 freestyle, 400 medley, 400 freestyle and the 800 freestyle) that won Honorable Mention All-America honors at the NCAA Championships… received academic recognition as All-Americans for having achieved an NCAA “B” standard as well as a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Personal: Full name is Amanda Eve Foltz…is the daughter of Wade and Bonnie Foltz… born on July 21, 1987…is majoring in elementary education.
