Biography
2007-08 (as a junior): Continued to evolve as a freestyle and backstroke swimmer at Shippensburg… placed fifth in the 500-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 5:32.31…finished the season with the seventh-best time in the 50-yard freestyle and eighth-fastest team time in 100 freestyle… ended season with sixth-best time in the 200- yard freestyle and the fifth-fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle.
2006-07 (as a sophomore): Qualified for the PSAC championships in multiple events…matured as freestyle and backstroke swimmer for the Lady Raiders…posted the team’s fifth fastest time in the 1,000 freestyle…was a key fig¬ure in the team’s dual meet victory over Kutztown with her strong performances.
2005-06 (as a freshman): Finished her freshman season as a multiple- event qualifier for the conference championships and recorded strong team finishes in the 100 and 200 freestyles.
Personal: Full name is Stephanie Lee Fitzgerald…is the daughter of Denis and Susan Fitzgerald… born on October 23, 1987…is majoring in biology.
