PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – After seeing its 10-match win streak come to an end on Saturday, the Shippensburg University volleyball team returned to PSAC Eastern Division play on Tuesday night with a convincing 30-2, 30-7, 30-2 victory over Cheyney at Cope Hall in which the Lady Raiders totaled 34 service aces.

Shippensburg (19-6, 5-0 PSAC East) remained unbeaten in conference play and moved one-match closer to the 1990 team's school best 10-0 record in Eastern Division play. The 1991 and 1992 Lady Raiders started conference play 6-0 before losing their first match.

The school record for team service aces in a match is 40 set on Oct. 7, 2004 when Shippensburg defeated Cheyney on the road, 30-7, 30-9, 30-6. Last year, the Lady Raiders nearly tied the mark when they totaled 38 service aces in a 30-2, 30-11, 30-7 victory over the Wolves at Cope Hall on Sept. 26, 2006.

Sophomore Renee Parseghian led the way with 10 service aces, one shy of her career set at Cheyney a year ago. The school record for individual service aces is 14 set by Lori Lisowski at Cheyney on Oct. 25, 1994.

Sophomore #Colleen Toomey# added eight service aces along with four kills and three digs while junior Maureen DuVall totaled six service aces and nine assists.

Sophomore Kali Antolik had a match-high 12 kills along with one block solo and two service aces and sophomore Missy Ramp had 16 assists and three service aces. Junior #Karey Toms# added six kills, two short of her season-high set at Elizabethtown on September 4.

Shippensburg will travel to Wheeling, West Virginia this weekend to compete in the Wheeling Jesuit Tournament on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Lady Raiders open with Alderson-Broaddus and West Virginia State at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, respectively, before facing Charleston (WV) at 2:00 PM and Wheeling Jesuit at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
