2006 (as a freshman): Stepped in for an injured Maureen DuVall as the team’s setter early in the season and remained a fixture in the lineup even after DuVall’s return…played in 36 of the team’s 37 matches…tallied a team-best 701 assists and averaged an impressive 7.54 assists per game…also totaled 28 service aces and contributed 60 kills…notched 160 digs, eight block solos and 20 block assists on the season, as well…tallied 47 assists in first career match on Aug. 25 against Mercyhurst…also added three block assists and two service aces in the match…totaled 50 assists against Barton on Sept. 1 and matched her career high with 50 versus Adelphi on Sept. 9…recorded 20 or more assists on 18 occasions and landed in double figures 25 times…posted a career-high 15 digs at Millersville on Oct. 3…contributed four service
aces versus Cheyney on Oct. 24 and then posted a career-high five against Millersville on Oct. 28.

At Central York High School: Earned two varsity letters as a setter and outside hitter…named to the 2006 PVCA All-District 3 class AAA…won the Caroline Stambaugh Award…listed as a York Daily Record All Star…played in the District 3 East-West All-Star game in 2005…won YAIAA Academic All-League Award for 2005-06…earned a 3.6 GPA.

Personal: Full name is Melissa Sue Ramp…was born on January 14, 1988…is the daughter of Helene and Randy Ramp…is majoring in elementary education…brother Joe competes for the men’s club volleyball team on campus.
