Shippensburg University Athletics

2009 (Freshman): Peterson earned playing time in 12 matches and 20 sets for the Lady Raiders in her debut season, primarily serving as a defensive specialist. She totaled 17 digs and 10 service aces to complement nine kills.

Clarion High School: Peterson earned two letters as an outside hitter and a defensive specialist for the Bobcats under head coach Shari Campbell, who was also her coach on club team Clover Volleyball. She was selected as a senior all-star in the All-Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference and was also selected as a USMC Distinguished Female Athlete of the Year. Her squads were conference, district and regional champions during her junior and senior years, placing third in the state semifinals as a senior. She also played basketball and softball while graduating ninth in her class with an honors diploma.

Personal: Karla Lynn Peterson is the daughter of Robin and Allen Peterson. She is majoring in biology and pre-optometry.
