Shippensburg University Athletics

2013-14 (Junior): Competed for the Raiders in his third season with the team, swimming primarily in freestyle and backstroke events…established new personal bests in the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke at Ithaca.
 
2012-13 (Sophomore): Posted new personal bests in the 200 freestyle at the Patriot Invitational and the 100 backstroke at Bucknell in representing the Raiders during his second season…primarily competed in freestyle and backstroke events.
 
2011-12 (Freshman): Primarily worked as a freestyle and backstroke swimmer in his debut season with the Raiders.
 
Downingtown West High School:  Swam for the Whippets under coach Eric Snook…earned varsity letters in all four of his seasons…participated in sprint freestyle and short-distance backstroke events…competed at the club level with Brandywine YMCA under the tutelage of Ray Lease…graduated as an AP scholar and a member of the National Honor Society.
 
About Zalkind:  Full name is Jacob Samuel Zalkind…is the son of Philip and Ann Zalkind…majoring in physics…has a brother, Dan, who swam at Drexel.
