2016-17 (Sophomore): Notched his first individual scoring performance to cap off a solid second season with the Raiders…qualified for the ‘B’ finals of the 100-yard backstroke at the PSAC Championships, placing 15th…competed at the PSAC Championships in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke…contributed to a PSAC place-winning performance with the 200-yard medley relay…ranked among the Top 5 SU swimmers in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle for the season…achieved a collegiate best in the 100-yard backstroke with his performance at the PSAC Championships.
2015-16 (Freshman): Contributed to a pair of scoring relays at the PSAC Championships in his debut season with the Raiders…placed sixth with the team’s 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relays at the conference championships…competed individually in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard breaststroke at the PSAC Championships…achieved his 50-yard freestyle PR at George Mason and in his 100-yard freestyle best at Ithaca.
Liberty High School: Earned seven letters in career as a member of the Hurricanes under coach Reik Foust…was an all-conference performer in the 200 free relay as both a junior and senior…set PRs of 21.94 in the 50 free and 47.94 in the 100 free…also played lacrosse…finished high school with a 3.8 GPA.
About Smith: Full name is Evan Scott Smith…is the son of Scott and Rita Smith…double-majoring in supply chain management and finance…has two brothers, John and Grant and a sister, Emily.
