Biography
2010 (Junior): Finished as a two-time PSAC placewinner in breaststroke events…posted a 13th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and a 15th-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke…both of his efforts at the conference meet were season PRs…did not compete in any individual medley swims.
2009-10 (Sophomore): Made steady improvements as a breaststroke and individual medley competitor in his second season with the team…placed sixth at the PSAC Championships in the 100-yard breaststroke and also earned team points as a placewinner in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 12th-place finish and the 400-yard individual medley with a 16th-place finish…contributed to the 400-yard medley relay that placed fourth at the PSAC meet…posted the team’s fastest time of the season in the 100-yard breaststroke, 58.88 seconds, at the Patriot Invitational…peaked in the 200-yard breaststroke by posting his fastest time of the season in the event at the conference meet…also competed in butterfly swims.
2008-09 (Freshman): Served as one of the team’s primary breaststroke swimmers in his debut season with the team…scored twice at the conference meet…finished 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.05 and 16th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:16.42…finished the season with the team’s second fastest times in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.48) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:12.07), with both efforts coming at the Zippy Invitational.
Boyertown Area Senior High School: Competed as a finalist in the state high school meet…holds several school records for the breaststroke…was the top swimmer in Berks County for the 100-yard breaststroke during his senior year…also swam for the Boyertown club team.
Personal: Full name is Evan Paul Manning…is the son of Karen and Edward Manning…majoring in communication/journalism.
