Biography
2009-10 (Freshman): Performed well as a mid-distance and distance freestyle swimmer for the Red Raiders in his debut season…placed twice at the PSAC Championships, including a ninth-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 10th in the mile…thrived down the stretch and progressed throughout the season…ranked third among his SU teammates in the 1,000-yard freestyle…competed in four of six freestyle flights throughout the season.
Archbishop Ryan High School: Earned four letters while competing for head coach Frank Morris…named All-Catholic First Team as a junior and to the second team during sophomore and senior seasons…named Team MVP all four years of high school and named captain as a senior…excelled in the distance freestyle, posting personal bests of 10:00.15 in the 1000-yard freestyle and 16:54.34 in the mile freestyle…also stood out in the medley events with personal bests of 2:06.42 in the 200 IM and 4:28.44 in the 400 IM…competed on the club team NRG Swimming.
Personal: Full name is Brandon Michael Rapone…is the son of Brian Jeter and Eileen Rapone…majoring in political science…has an uncle, Thomas Walsh, who attended Shippensburg.
