Mark Sappington, a former Division II student-athlete with the Cardinals of Wheeling Jesuit University, enters his second season as a volunteer assistant. Sappington, who holds a NSCAA Level 2 Region Goal Keeper license, works primarily with the team’s goalkeepers.

Among Sappington’s instructional experience includes work as a coach and coordinator of goalkeeper training for the Pro Performance indoor facility. For eight years, Sappington also worked as a coach and coordinator of goalkeeper training for the Fury Soccer Club based out of his hometown, Morgantown, W.Va.

Sappington graduated from Wheeling Jesuit in 2011 with a degree in psychology. He is currently working toward a master’s degree in psychology from Shippensburg.
